At the end of 2011 Contiweb acquired the activities of Jetweb (Ravenstein, Germany) and VITS-Rotocut (Langenfeld, Germany), market leaders in inline and offline specialized web applications – such as coaters, perforators, die cutters, pre-folders and sheeters.

The combined application expertise and integration of technology and services has resulted in successful combined projects – like the development and installation of a 24-page GOSS Sunday press at Mohn Media in Germany.

This heatset weboffset press is fully equipped with inline finishing equipment from Jetweb, VITS-Rotocut and auxiliaries from Contiweb.

Based on proven technology and experience in heatset weboffset, Contiweb recently developed new applications for digital web printing, which we will be introducing during the upcoming drupa show in Düsseldorf (hall 15 / booth D51).

The new Contiweb digital series is a modular system of reel splicing solutions (unwinding and rewinding, for packaging incl. slitters) designed to cover the full range of digital web press requirements. The new series can be seen live in production in digital web presses at the booths of Hewlett-Packard (hall 17) and Müller-Martini (hall 02 / booth A49).
